Landscape Photographer of the Year 2012
I’m thrilled to announce that my image “Chatsworth in the snow” has been Highly Commended by the judges and features in the classic view section of the AA book Landscape Photographer of the Year – collection 6, published last week. It was also chosen as judge’s choice by Monica Allende, Sunday Times magazine picture editor. I would have been happy just to get in the book! The image has also been selected to form part of the exhibition of winning images in the exhibition at London’s National Theatre on the South Bank.

Me on the day I took it.
I liked the shot in the camera
A Taste Of Scotland
Just come back from a trip to Scotland.
Great Moody weather to capture some good pictures of the mountains.
Autumn is truly with us now with that golden brown landscape.
We did lots of walking & climbing in all sorts of weather conditions.
We even got ourselves lost in the clouds hanging over Ben Lui.

Deacon's Photo shoot
Deacon is not quite two, such a cute little chap who never stopped still for more than 5 seconds as he was more interested in my equipment & props, We managed to bribe him with sweets & a bubble machine.
The results made it all worth while.

Latest photo shoot with Hollie
Great photo shoot with lovely Hollie & mum Sarah.

Amaya's Photoshoot
The shoot went brilliantly as Amaya 8 days old slept right through it.
Don't think mum was expecting to pose but managed to persuade her ,which for me are the best shots of the day showing the closeness of Mother & Baby.

Short listed for Landscape photographer of the year 2012
Just found out one of my images has been shortlisted for Landscape Photographer of the Year 2012. I had a feeling this image was going to do me well, I posted it on my blog way back in February, hard to imagine being that cold today...fingers crossed for a win but I'd be happy just to get published. Its a real morale boost that's come just as I'm celebrating my first year of going pro.....

The Beautiful Alexia
Just done a Photo shoot with a gorgeous little girl Alexia who was an
absolute perfect little model & such a beautiful smile.
Thanks to Mum & Alexia for a great shoot.

Martin and Gemma's wedding day
Another great day shooting Martin and Gemma’s wedding. I knew it was going to be a good day as I’d had such an enjoyable time getting to know them when I did their pre wedding shoot. Can’t deny being a little apprehensive though, the groom being a photographer himself! The weather might have been a bit of a challenge with low cloud, high winds and temperatures not expected in June but Gemma certainly wasn’t going to let that spoil the most important day of her life. I had an early start at Gemma’s parent’s home, I got a lovely cup of tea off the bride, oh yes she was calm enough to make tea for everyone. In fact it was one of the calmest wedding preparations I've seen. I managed to capture a gorgeous shot of little Katie just before she went to the church.

I then headed off at full speed to meet the groom, best men and ushers at the pub but they were already heading off to church. They were a great group of lads who I would have loved to spend more time with, sharing photography and off road trail biking as hobbies

St Edmunds is a beautiful little church in Allestree with a stunning stained glass window that made a lovely backdrop for the bride and grooms blessing.

After we took some shots of the family and friends it was off to Horsley Lodge for the reception. A great venue for the reception with good backdrops for photographs, weather permitting, as long as you dodge the golf balls!

I managed to steal half an hour with Gemma and Martin to bag some of those more intimate shots before they received their guest for the wedding dinner.
I stayed around for the first dance and had some great fun with our fun photo corner.

Best wishes for a very happy life together Mr and Mrs Taft
Jubille Celebrations
A great Jubillee party That went on till the early hours of the morning.

Abbie at the Abbey
What more could I ask for. Good weather, a great location, & beautiful model Abbie.
I needed to do some experimenting with new equipment so Abbie volunteered to
model for me at Rufford Abbey.
We shot in a few locations with different outfits to get a variety of images .
I loved the Bluebells as a backdrop giving that enchanting feel, although I must say I do like the magic of black & white.
What are your thoughts?
Thank's to Abbie for your patience in helping me capture some great images.
